Graduation Day cum Farewell at Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary school, Mawlai


Shillong 30th June: The Graduation Day Celebration at Sacred Heart Boys Higher Secondary School, Mawlai was a momentous event filled with pride, joy, and nostalgia. It took place on 28 th June, 2023 at the school premises at 2 pm. The ceremony brought together students, teachers, and staff to commemorate this significant success of the students who have just finished their SSLC and HSLC examinations. The ceremony commenced with various performances performed by the students of class 12. Their performances were mainly the songs and dances. The important item was the speech by the principal, Fr. Alistair Marwein who congratulated the students on their achievements and acknowledged their hard work and dedication. The principal also highlighted the values and skills instilled in the students during their time at the school. During the programme, one of the graduating students also gave a speech through whom the graduating students expressed their gratitude to the school, teachers, and parents for their support and guidance throughout their educational journey. The event also served as a farewell to the graduating students. The school bid them farewell with mixed emotions, celebrating their achievements while expressing their best wishes for their future endeavors. As a sign of appreciation, during the programme, the school gave a memento each to all the graduating students and provided them with refreshment. Immediately after the refreshment, there was a jam session for almost an hour where practically all the students took part. The Graduation Day Celebration at Sacred Heart Boys' Higher Secondary School, Mawlai, was a significant event that marked the end of an educational chapter and the beginning of a new phase in the lives of the graduating students. Undoubtedly, The event was a success because of the hard work of the Principal, Fr. Alistair Marwein, the Vice- Principal, Fr. Hampyrwa Tyngkan, the teachers, non- teaching staff and the students who were helping for the smooth running of the programme. Needless to say, the day was filled with pride, happiness, and hope for the bright futures that lie ahead for the graduating students.
