1st March 2024, Shillong: The farewell program for Mrs. Bichitra Nath, a valued member of our school's support staff, took place today, March 1st, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the School Hall. The Headmaster delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, emphasizing Mrs. Nath's final day at the school. He expressed gratitude for her 33 years of dedicated service and welcomed her son and daughter, who joined her for the occasion. Additionally, he extended a warm welcome to the President of the School MC, Fr. Saji Stephen, the DBTS Manager, Fr. Donbor Jyrwa, as well as the staff and students. The President, Fr Saji Stephen Sdb, spoke highly of Mrs. Nath's lengthy tenure at the school and suggested the adjustments that come with retirement. Mrs. Nath was honored with a citation, a gift, and a monetary contribution from the staff, students, and school management. She also received flowers and greeting cards from the students of Class IV and V. Furthermore, the management presented her with a gratuity cheque. In her response, Mrs. Nath expressed her gratitude to the entire school community for the memorable day. The staff and students showcased a variety of songs and dances during the program. The event concluded with the singing of the school anthem. Mrs. Nath enjoyed refreshments with the teachers, support staff, and the entire school management. A spontaneous photo session captured the moments for Mrs. Nath and all those present. Departing the school, Mrs. Nath was filled with nostalgia and tears of appreciation.
