A prayer by Jidan, one of the pre-novices, set the stage for the whole celebration. Fr. Isaac added more colour and meaning to the celebration with his message in Kokborok. A beautiful rendition of the Kokborok song by the pre-novices enthused the spirit and dynamism of the children, youth and parents to take part actively in the oratory day celebration. The highlight of the inaugural function was the video song presentation on our father and founder Don Bosco. Parents and youth from different villages also felicitated and thanked the pre-novices for their hard work and the Sunday ministry in their respective villages by presenting them with the Tripuri Traditional Risa each. The inaugural function ended with the instructions regarding games given by Bro. Wanpherbor Lyngdoh, the counselor of the pre-novices.
The children, youth and parents spent the rest of the afternoon moving around the campus taking part actively in various games and competitions and winning many prizes. The pre-novices, with their many games and competitions, kept the participants busy and active. There was so much happiness and joy in the campus. Everyone went about taking part in various games and winning many prizes for themselves. It has been a great day for all of us at Bosco Home and for the children, youth and the parents who have come for the celebration.
Thanks to Bro. Wanpherbor, who together with Bro. Johny and the pre-novices, planned so well for this great day and executed it so well. Thanks to Fr. Mathew, Fr. Isaac, and Fr. Babu who with their benign presence, made the oratory day celebration a meaningful and a memorable one for all of us. Thanks to all those who helped us with lots of prizes for the children. We place on record the great sacrifices and efforts made by the pre-novices to organize this oratory day celebration. They have really gone out of their way to make this event a grand success.
The oratory day celebration came to an end with a prayer by Fr. Babu which was followed by tea and snacks served for all and a group photo taken for a happy memory.
