Shillong 20th July: The Annual Junior Priests meeting of the Salesian Province of Shillong (INS) was held at Siloam on 16th- 19th July, 2023. The theme for the meeting was ‘Management, Administration and Leadership’. Father P.D. Johny, the Secretary of the SPCSA was the animator of the event. There were 17 Junior priests working in different regions of the province attended the meeting. Father John Zosiama, the Vice Provincial introduced the meeting on the first day and Father Sunny Palamthattel, the SPCSA delegate for Evangelization and Mission animated the first session on the topic missionary orientation. The following two full days was animated by Father P.D Johny on various topics such as Synodality, National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Salesian system of Education particularly the Preventive systems and how to fulfill Pope Francis’‘Laudato si ‘in Salesian educational system. Father Paul Olphindro Lyngkot, the Provincial gave a concluding talk and celebrated the concluding Eucharist on the last day of the meeting.
