14th February 2024, Assam: From February 8th to 14th, 2024, Assam's Divine Retreat Centre Khetri witnessed a transformative six-day Retreat cum Training for Catechism Teachers of INS schools. Under the guidance of Fr. Saji Stephen SDB, 27 teachers and two brothers from diverse schools in the province convened for an innovative educational endeavor. Commencing with a spiritually enriching three-day retreat, participants delved into themes of spiritual growth and personal faith, facilitated by Khetri retreat center fathers. Utilizing modern tools like PowerPoint presentations and video clips, the retreat fostered profound introspection and prepared teachers for spiritual renewal. The subsequent training segment, spanning the final three days, featured a dynamic team of Protestant experts from Bangalore, Mumbai, and Trivandrum, specializing in Catechism education. Covering topics ranging from Deepening Faith to Classroom Dynamics, the training sessions were lauded for their clarity and practicality. Fr. Saji Stephen's pioneering approach, emphasizing enhanced teacher training and remuneration, received unanimous praise. By integrating spiritual development with pedagogical expertise, this initiative sets a new standard for catechism education, promising to enrich the faith formation and academic journey of Catholic students across INS schools.
