Shillong December 17, 2023 - In a testament to the vibrant spirit of devotion and generosity among the youth of Khasi Jaintia Hills, the Holy Catholic Church in Northeast India celebrated the ordination of three new priests on December 17. His Lordship Most Rev. Victor Lyngdoh, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Shillong, and His Grace Most Rev. Ferdinand Dkhar, the Bishop of Jowai Diocese, officiated the ordination ceremony at The Good Shepherd Parish, Lad Rymbai East Jaintia Hills District.
The ordained priests, Rev Fr. Shiningstar Dkhar SDB, Rev Fr. Shemphang Dkhar SDB, and Rev Fr. Ricky Dkhar CMF, demonstrated unwavering commitment by taking the oath to become Holy Priests, enriching the Church and the lives of its believers. All three priests were members of religious congregations, embodying a dedication to a life of service and spiritual growth.

The atmosphere was charged with joy, as the hearts of those present melted with the zeal to experience the special love of God for the Church and its followers in the Khasi and Jaintia Hills regions.
