Shillong/Agartala 16th August: In a very simple function but unique the faithful of the parish gathered on 15th August 2024 at 6.00pm in front of the newly blessed grotto to celebrate the feast of the Assumption and dedication of the grotto. A plaque was prepared and placed beside the grotto with an inscription, " This grotto is dedicated to the people of Tripura." Thanks to the benefactors. Before praying the Holy rosary a brief introduction and words of welcome was given by Rev. Father Christopher Mary Warlarpih the Rector and Parish priest. This was followed by the prayer of dedication which was presided over by Rev. Father K J Abraham CSC the Provincial of the Holy Cross N.E India. After the Holy Rosary prayer was over we began the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Father KJ Abraham was the main celebrant. There were around 200 faithful people who witnessed this memorable event.
