BoscoNet Hosts Successful Training on Local Resource Mobilization
Shillong, September 21, 2024 – BoscoNet, in collaboration with Bosco Integrated Development Society (BIDS-INS), organized a comprehensive two-day training program on Local Resource Mobilization on September 19-20, 2024. The event took place at the St. Joseph Rural Resource and Training Center (RRTC) in Umran and brought together 27 participants from five provinces: Delhi, Dimapur, Guwahati, Shillong, and Kolkata.
The training aimed to equip attendees with essential skills and knowledge for effective fundraising in the current Indian landscape. Key topics included:
Current trends and approaches in the Indian fundraising landscape for 2024
Strategies for cultivating high-value donors and creating a robust database
Techniques for leveraging social media to enhance fundraising efforts
Guidelines for starting new fundraising programs and scaling existing initiatives
Effective donor retention strategies
Training on developing impactful pitch decks, mastering body language, and handling objections
Mock presentations followed by constructive feedback sessions
The event commenced on September 19 with an inaugural address by Fr. Jeevan Lakra, INS Vice Provincial, emphasizing the importance of innovative fundraising strategies. Participants engaged in interactive sessions and practical exercises designed to enhance their fundraising capabilities.
On September 20, Fr. Peter Syiemlieh awarded certificates to participants, recognizing their commitment to developing their skills in resource mobilization.
The training received positive feedback, with attendees expressing enthusiasm about implementing their newly acquired skills to strengthen fundraising efforts within their respective organizations.
