ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR ST. XAVIER’S STUDENTS AT SEPAHIJALA POLICE HQ

18th January 2025: As part of the Tripura Police Week 2025, a Familiarisation Visit to the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sepahijala District and a Road Safety Awareness Programme were organized on 18th January 2025 by the Sepahijala District Police for the students at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. The event was held in the office of the Superintendent of Police, Sepahijala District, and witnessed the participation of 60 students from Class X, accompanied by Ms. Priyanka Debbarma and Mr. Sukhen Debnath. The students received a warm welcome upon arrival, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. They were escorted to the SP’s conference hall, where the awareness session was conducted by Mr. Bhogati Jagadeeswar Reddy, the honourable Superintendent of Police of Sepahijala District. The session was both interactive and highly educational, focusing on essential road safety rules and practices. Mr. Reddy shared valuable insights on road safety, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules to prevent accidents. The students actively participated in the session, raising queries and clarifying their doubts. This fruitful interaction fostered a deeper understanding of the significance of road safety measures. Following the session, the students were taken on a guided tour of the SP’s office premises. This experience was both informative and enjoyable, leaving the students happy and contented. The presence of other police personnel further enriched the programme, as they also engaged with the students, sharing their experiences and perspectives on maintaining safety on the roads. The programme concluded with snacks being served to the students and staff, adding a touch of hospitality to the event. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Superintendent of Police and his dedicated team for organizing such a meaningful and educational programme. Overall, the Familiarisation Visit and Road Safety Awareness programme were a resounding success, equipping the students with vital knowledge and fostering a sense of responsibility toward road safety.
