A Trimonthly Recollection for the Practical Trainees and Student Brothers residing in and around Shillong was held at Don Bosco Provincial House. It commenced from the 4th March evening with the introductory talk by Father John Zoziama, the Vice Provincial and ended on the following day with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Father Provincial. The recollection talk was given by Father Sunil Barla, the Vice Rector of Sacred Heart Theological College. All together 33 brothers attended in this recollection. Speaking to the brothers during the talk, Father Sunil, the Preacher based his talk on life of Johny Bosco. The preacher brought to its lime light the struggles and hardships that Johny Bosco had to undergo during his process of formation as a poor lad. In line to it, the preacher too shared his vocational journey and the hardships that he too underwent during his formative years. The following day i.e. 5th we beautifully began the day with the lectio divina animated by Father Dabitlang Cajee, the Secretary. Then after the breakfast, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed and then we had a moment of silence and personal recollection in preparation for the Confession thereafter. This Trimonthly Recollection finally came to its culmination with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Father Provincial who exhorted all and sundry that Faithfulness to the Lord was the only weapon to safeguard one’s vocation especially in this technological world bombarded by Social Media.
