Shillong, January 31: Ka “Sur Kynud Season -3” organized by Don Bosco Media Network & TV at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong concluded its Grand Finale Competitions with 7 contestants vying for the honour as the best singer this evening. Mr Kitkupar Nongsiej was adjudged as the best singer and the winner and takes home the prize of Rupees One Lakh which was presented by Rev Fr Jeevan Lakra, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Society and Smti R M Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills as the Chief Guest at a grand and solemn occasion. The Grand Finale Competitions witnessed the galaxy of personalities including Padmashree Patricia Mukhim. Mr Mario Pathaw recipient of Youth Icon award presented by the Don Bosco Media Network & TV for his exemplary contribution to society and Rev Fr Babu Stephen received the Cilia Memorial Award instituted in memory of the founder of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Rev Fr Cilia. Before starting the function, Rev Fr Ritonbor Kharkongor offered words of welcome to all the guests, leaders of the Salesian society, competitors, parents and all those who are involved in organizing the Sur Kynud Season-3. He also offered opening prayers invoking God’s blessing. Besides the winner Kitkupar Nongsiej, the other contestants in the Grand Finale Baphi Lyngdoh, Baphinrihun Mukhim, Rishannylla Hoojon, Reizel Dohling, Gwyneth Mawthoh and Nestle R Syiemlieh were given with certificates and momentos. The concluding words at the end of the function was presented by Rev Fr Michael Makri, Director of Don Bosco Media Network & TV with a vote of thanks to all those who had contributed to the success of the Grand Finale of Sur Kynud Season-3.
