20th November 2024, Nandan Nagar: The Salesians of the Tripura region convened a significant meeting on November 20, 2024, at Don Bosco Nandan Nagar, attended by 40 members, including Fr. John Zosiama SDB, Provincial of Shillong Province, and other Provincial Council members. The gathering began with vespers led by Dn. Jitendis SDB, followed by a warm welcome from Fr. Babu Stephen SDB, who highlighted the importance of unity in their mission. Fr. John Zosiama shared a heartfelt message, reflecting on his provincial visitation and emphasizing collaboration and renewed commitment to the Salesian mission in Tripura. Fr. Genesius Wanniang SDB discussed financial matters and commended the region's hard work, while Fr. Jeewan Kishore Lakra SDB shared insights on the formation of Brothers in Practical Training and acknowledged the Salesians' dedication to evangelization and education. The meeting included updates from each Rector and mission in-charge, fostering a collaborative exchange of experiences and solutions. Constructive discussions addressed challenges and identified strategies to enhance the region's impact. Bro. Regy Joseph SDB offered words of encouragement, inspiring participants to remain innovative and committed. The day also marked the birthday of Fr. Merkush SDB of Baijalbari and concluded with a shared dinner, strengthening bonds within the community.
