Pathaliaghat,3rd October 2023: This is the 1st ever Don Bosco Football tournament that was organised by the St. Xavier's School pathaliaghat for under 19, in honour of the Centenary of the coming of Salesian Missionaries to Northeast India. Altogether, there were 46 teams who have participated in this tournament on the 3rd October 2023. On this Special day, we have invited Mr. Nandu Kumar Debarma (The Panchayat Chairman) as a chief guest of the day. At the very outset of the programme Rev. Fr. Blasius Kujur Sdb welcomed the panchayat Chairman and all the players from the different teams. In his introductory speech, he exhorted all the players to play fair games whether win or lose. As said by the Chairman of the village, it is indeed, a great step taken by the school under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Babu Stephen the Principal of the School and all the members of the Community. In his Speech he Congratulated the Salesians right from the time in memorial and till today for the passion and the special training that they have given to the youth of Tripura. He Continued saying that, most of our elders in the village and also the neighbouring areas were trained by the Salesians. We are so lucky to have them in our midst and moreover for not stopping the mission in training the young people till today. At the end of the inauguration of the Don Bosco Football tournament 2023, Fr. Rector thanked everyone for their availability and their physical presence.
