**Shillong Province Hosts Practical Training (PT) Meet for Brothers: A Time of Renewal, Fraternity, and Formation**

*Shillong, 2 June 2025* — The annual Practical Training (PT) Meet for the Salesian Brothers of the Shillong Province was held from 26 to 28 May 2025 at the Provincial House, Mawlai. The gathering brought together young Salesians engaged in apostolic formation across the province, offering them an opportunity for reflection, sharing, and renewed commitment.

The meeting commenced on the evening of 26 May with an opening session led by Fr. Ritonbor SDB. His presentation focused on fresh perspectives and initiatives in Salesian Youth Ministry, setting a reflective and energizing tone for the days ahead.

On 27 May, the day began with a key session from Fr. John Zosiama SDB, Provincial of Shillong. He offered a comprehensive overview of General Chapter 29, which concluded recently in Rome. His insights into the Chapter’s themes and directives provided the brothers with valuable context and motivation for their pastoral and community work.

In the afternoon, the PT brothers participated in a heartfelt sharing session, where they reflected on their experiences, challenges, and growth in their respective apostolic settings. This exchange fostered deep fraternity and mutual support. Later in the evening, Fr. Raphael Maiong offered a forward-looking talk, emphasizing the importance of actively contributing to the growth of the Congregation and the Province.

The PT Meet concluded with a fraternal outing to Sohra (Cherrapunjee) on 28 May. Accompanied by Fr. Jeevan Lakra SDB, Vice Provincial, the brothers celebrated the Holy Eucharist and enjoyed time together amidst the natural beauty of the region.

The gathering proved to be a meaningful occasion of formation, community bonding, and spiritual enrichment.
