CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON PARTICIPATORY MAPPING HELD


June 28th 2024, Shillong: A two-day capacity building workshop on participatory mapping was organized by SGP India, bringing together NGOs from the Northeast Region. The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of participants in mapping for rural development planning. The event saw experts from TERI, SGP India, and GTAD sharing their knowledge and guiding participants through practical sessions. The training covered the use of GPS, smartphones, and Google Earth software to create effective maps. The participants learned the importance of mapping in rural development planning and how to apply the skills in their projects. The workshop provided a platform for NGOs to connect and collaborate, strengthening their implementation and impact. The participants expressed their excitement to apply their new skills and work together towards making a positive impact. The workshop was a success, empowering NGOs to effectively contribute to rural development through participatory mapping.
