Pathaliaghat,18 July 2026: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, successfully organized the Inter-House Face Painting Competition for Boys and the Inter-House Hair Style Competition for Girls in the school Assembly Hall. Students from Bosco, Gandhi, Nehru, and Teresa Houses participated enthusiastically, with five teams representing each house in both competitions.
Held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the event highlighted the students’ artistic talent, creativity, teamwork, and patience. The boys impressed the audience with vibrant face-painting designs featuring excellent colour combinations, precision, and finishing, while the girls displayed elegant and innovative hairstyles enhanced with flowers, ribbons, and decorative accessories.
The completed works were exhibited in the Assembly Hall, drawing admiration from students and staff. The competitions were judged by Ms. Martha Debbarma, Ms. Basuki Reang, and Ms. Hamari Debbarma (Hair Style) and Mr. Dinesh Debbarma, Mr. Swapan Debbarma, and Mr. Chiranjit Tripura (Face Painting).
Results:
Face Painting (Boys): 1st – Handsome & Kamalesh (Teresa House); 2nd – Helson & Biplab (Gandhi House); 3rd – Suham & Troy (Nehru House).
Hair Style (Girls): 1st – Mimi & Suhana (Teresa House); 2nd – Khunjati & Sourabhee (Nehru House); 3rd – Tanu & Neha (Bosco House).
The Principal congratulated the winners, appreciated all participants for their creativity and sportsmanship, thanked the judges for their fair evaluation, and acknowledged the House Captains for their excellent coordination. The winners were presented with cash prizes, medals, and certificates. The event once again reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing artistic excellence, creativity, and the holistic development of its students.
