Silchar, 16 July 2026: Don Bosco School Silchar accorded a warm and cordial welcome to its new Principal, Fr. Sebastian Palatty, SDB, during a felicitation programme held on Thursday, 16 July 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the School Auditorium.
The programme began with a prayer service, seeking God’s blessings upon Fr. Sebastian as he assumed his new responsibilities. This was followed by a melodious welcome song, an introductory address, the formal welcome speech, and a colourful cultural dance presented by the students, adding joy and vibrancy to the occasion.
As a token of respect and affection, Fr. Sebastian was presented with a bouquet of flowers and the traditional Assamese Gamcha, symbolising the school’s warm hospitality and goodwill.
In his address, Fr. Sebastian expressed his delight at returning to Don Bosco School Silchar for a second tenure. He shared his excitement about working closely with the dedicated staff, students, and the entire school community to continue the institution’s legacy of academic excellence, holistic development, and value-based education.
