Don Bosco School, Lawngtlai Excels in 80th Independence Day Celebration

 

Lawngtlai, 15th August 2026: Don Bosco School, Lawngtlai participated in the 80th Independence Day celebration held at the district level in Lawngtlai on 15th August 2026. The celebration brought together various schools and institutions of the district in a spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride.

The NCC Contingent of Don Bosco School, Lawngtlai delivered an outstanding performance in the March Past Parade and proudly secured the First Position. This remarkable achievement makes it the eighth consecutive time that the school’s NCC cadets have won the First Prize at the district level. Their disciplined march, smart turnout, confidence and patriotic spirit reflected the hard work and dedication of both the cadets and their mentors.

Adding another feather to the school’s cap, the School Contingent and the Scouts and Guides also put up a commendable performance and secured the Third Prize.

A special word of appreciation goes to the School Brass Band, whose excellent performance added grandeur and solemnity to the entire celebration. The band accompanied the different contingents throughout the programme and rendered the National Anthem with great precision and dignity, earning appreciation for their musical excellence and dedication.

The school community extends its heartiest congratulations to the NCC cadets, School Contingent, Scouts and Guides and the Brass band players.
