Umden, 9 August 2026: On 9 August 2026, Lum Sinai, Umden Parish, Ri-Bhoi District, held a Bible and Healing Adoration with the special purpose of enlightening and strengthening the faith of the faithful of Umden Parish. A healing service was also conducted for the sick and suffering people of Umden Parish and the neighbouring villages who had gathered for the event.
The programme was fully animated by Rev. Fr. Jude, Director of the Holy Redeemer Renewal Centre, Umroi. The programme began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Jude himself.
During the Holy Mass, Fr. Jude strongly exhorted the faithful on the importance of prayer, referring to the Book of Deuteronomy. He emphasized the need to love God with all our heart, with all our mind, and with all our strength. He also repeatedly stressed the importance of reading the Word of God, repentance, and healing in our Christian lives.
At 2:00 p.m., the Adoration began. It was followed by the Prayer of Exorcism, the anointing of the participants, and the final blessing. The programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Fr. Michael Khongngaifi, Parish Priest of Umden Parish.
In conclusion, the convention beautifully reminded the faithful that God’s love gives direction and meaning to our lives. It encouraged everyone to strengthen their relationship with God and with their neighbours, to pray fervently with faith, to forgive one another, and to seek healing always from the Lord.
