Journeying Closer to God: Retreat for Pre Novices at Bosco Home Herma

Bosco Home Herma: 5th – 7th May 2026: The community of Bosco Home Herma organised a three-day spiritual retreat for the Pre Novices from the 5th to the 7th morning of May 2026. The retreat was specially arranged as the final spiritual preparation for the Pre Novices before they proceed to the Novitiate. It served as a grace-filled opportunity for the participants to reflect deeply on their vocation, renew their spirit, and nurture their spiritual lives in closer communion with God.

The retreat commenced on 5th May 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in an atmosphere of prayer and recollection. The retreat was animated by Brother Sibi and Brother Baby, full-time retreat preachers from Kerala, whose inspiring sessions and spiritual guidance deeply touched the hearts of the participants. Through their meaningful reflections, personal testimonies, prayer services, and interactive sessions, the Pre Novices were encouraged to strengthen their faith, deepen their commitment, and discern God’s call with sincerity and openness. Throughout the retreat, the participants spent time in silence, meditation, Eucharistic adoration, confession, and personal prayer. The sessions focused on spiritual renewal, self-examination, vocational commitment, and dependence on God’s grace in their journey towards religious life. The retreat created a serene and prayerful environment that helped the Pre Novices to encounter God more personally and meaningfully.

The retreat successfully concluded on the morning of 7th May 2026 with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration followed by an anointing adoration. During the adoration, special prayers were offered, imploring the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and strengthen the Pre Novices as they prepare to enter the Novitiate and embrace the next stage of their formation.

The community expressed heartfelt gratitude to Brother Sibi and Brother Baby for their dedicated service and spiritual animation. The retreat truly became a memorable and enriching experience for all the participants, leaving them spiritually refreshed, motivated, and strengthened for their future vocation journey.
