Pathaliaghat, 23rd August 2026: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, takes immense pride in the outstanding achievements of two of its talented students, Ms. Jina Debbarma and Master James Jamatia, who brought great honour and glory to the school through their remarkable performances at the President Cup 12th Indo-Nepal Karate Championship.
The prestigious championship was held at Mechinagar-6, Kakarvitta, Jhapa, Nepal, from 22nd to 23rd August 2026. The event was organised by the Nepal Shito Ryu Karate School and witnessed the participation of talented karatekas from different places.
Ms. Jina Debbarma displayed exceptional skill and determination in both the Kata and Kumite events. In the Kata event, she secured the First Prize, winning a Gold Medal and Certificate. She continued her excellent performance in the Kumite event under the 32 kg category, where she won the Second Prize, earning a Silver Medal and Certificate.
Master James Jamatia also made the school proud with his commendable achievements. In the Kata event, he secured the Third Prize, winning a Bronze Medal and Certificate. In the Kumite event under the 64 kg category, he won the Second Prize, earning a Silver Medal and Certificate.
The remarkable achievements of Jina Debbarma and James Jamatia are a matter of great pride and honour for the entire St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. Their hard work, discipline, courage and sporting spirit have brought laurels to the institution and have become an inspiration to their fellow students.
