Herma, 11th April 2026: On the 11th April 2026, a Bible Quote Competition was organized for the Pre-novices, Bosco Home, Herma with an intention of helping the brothers to develop the good practice of reading and knowing the Word of God.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the President of the Missionary Sodality, who greeted all the participants and judges, and highlighted the procedure of the event. After the welcome address, the gathering was led into a prayer by the President himself, invoking God’s blessings upon the event and all those taking part in it. After the prayer, the brother Assistant clearly explained the criteria and rules of the competition. He ensured that all participants understood the guidelines, including the time limit and evaluation method. Each participant was given 3 minutes to recite as many Bible quotes as possible. The competition was conducted in alphabetical order, ensuring fairness and smooth flow throughout the event. A total of 20 participants took part, showcasing their tremendous effort, confidence, and prodigious memory. Several were able to recite 20, 25, and even 30 Bible quotes within the given time. The highest number of quotes recited was 36, achieved by Pre Novices Ebeneezer Kharshemlang and Iaishah Muksor, which stood out as an exceptional performance. The program was well-organized and proceeded without any interruptions.
At the end of the program, the Fr. Counsellor addressed the gathering. He congratulated all the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to continue deepening their knowledge of the Bible. He then announced the winners, bringing the event to a joyful and fulfilling conclusion. The Bible Quote Competition was a meaningful and enriching experience for the Pre-novices, inspiring them to grow closer to the Word of God.
