19th January 2024:DBTS,Shillong: The Winter Camp Free Training at Don Bosco Technical School concluded with a heartwarming farewell and certification ceremony, leaving Trainees with lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment. The ceremony, held on 19th January, brought together Trainees, instructors, and staff to celebrate the successful completion of the camp, the Chief guest of the day was Fr. Paul Lyngkot the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Shillong. The event was filled with a mix of emotions, ranging from nostalgia for the experiences shared during the camp to excitement for the future endeavours that await the Trainees. During the ceremony, each participant was awarded a personalized Certificate of Completion, recognizing their active engagement, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the winter camp. The Winter Camp consists in giving training in Basic Electrical, Basic Beauty, Basic Make-Up, Cake- Specialized, Bakery, Fast Food, Basic Computer, DTP, DEO, Graphics Design, Communication Skills and Personality Development, Spoken English. In addition to the certificates, a farewell message was delivered by fathers, brothers, teachers and Trainees expressing gratitude for the positive energy and camaraderie that defined the winter camp. "The connections and memories formed during this camp will remain with each participant as they move forward in their journeys. We are immensely proud of the growth and learning that took place over the past 3 weeks. The ceremony was followed by a reception where participants, instructors, and staff had the opportunity to share their favourite moments from the camp and exchange contact information to stay connected in the future. The winter camp at DBTS left a lasting impression on all involved. The shared memories, newfound skills, and friendships forged during this immersive experience will undoubtedly endure long after the snow has melted.
