Herma, 29 September 2026: The community of Bosco Home Herma joyfully celebrated the birthday of Rev. Fr. Suman Kumar Kiro SDB on 29 September 2026, with a spirit of gratitude, fraternity and family joy.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by the birthday celebrant himself, Fr. Suman Kumar Kiro SDB. In his reflection and prayer, Father expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of life and for the many blessings he has received throughout his journey. The Eucharistic celebration was a fitting way to begin the day, placing his life and mission in the hands of God. Following the Eucharist, the community gathered for a short birthday programme, during which the fathers, brothers and boys conveyed their warm wishes to Fr. Suman through birthday greetings and songs.
In the afternoon, a friendly volleyball match was organised in honour of Fr. Suman, bringing together the Pre-novices and the hostelers of Don Bosco School Herma. The match provided an opportunity for healthy competition, recreation and joyful fellowship, adding a lively touch to the birthday celebration. The highlight of the day was the splendid family get-together in the evening. The programme was filled with songs, skits, dances, choir performances, instrumental pieces and heartfelt speeches in honour of the celebration. The variety of performances and the enthusiastic participation of everyone made the gathering a truly joyful and memorable occasion. Following the programme, all gathered in the refectory for the cake-cutting ceremony and family meal. The celebration was further enriched by the presence of fathers and brothers from the neighbouring communities, who joined the Bosco Home Herma family in expressing their love and good wishes to Fr. Suman. Towards the end of the remarkable day, Fr. Suman addressed the gathering and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God and to all the Fathers, Brothers and boys for making his birthday a graceful and joyful celebration. He appreciated the love, efforts and thoughtfulness shown by everyone.
