Birthday Gathering in Honour of Rev. Fr. Isaac Mattappilil, SDB

Herma, 11th August 2026: A birthday gathering was organized in honour of Rev. Fr. Isaac Mattappilil, SDB, on the evening of the 11th August, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Hall. The celebration was a joyful and memorable occasion, made all the more special by the presence of Fr. Isaac’s sister and relatives, along with the Fathers, Brothers, and Pre-Novices of the community.

The programme commenced with an opening prayer, invoking God’s blessings upon Fr. Isaac and expressing gratitude for the gift of his life and priestly ministry. This was followed by a welcome speech delivered by the Rector, who warmly welcomed Fr. Isaac’s family members and all those gathered for the celebration. He also expressed gratitude for Fr. Isaac’s presence and his valuable contribution to the Church, to the Salesian community and to the community. The gathering then continued with a variety of cultural performances prepared by the Pre-Novices. The programme included dance, singing, a skit, a puppet show, a choir performance, and an instrumental piece. Each presentation reflected the creativity, enthusiasm, and affection of the Pre-Novices towards Fr. Isaac. The performances created a lively and joyful atmosphere and added colour and warmth to the celebration. The presence of Fr. Isaac’s sister and relatives further enriched the occasion, making it a meaningful family celebration for the entire community.

The programme concluded with a word of appreciation from Fr. Isaac’s sister, who expressed her profound gratitude to the community for the warm welcome and the beautiful celebration organized in honour of Fr. Isaac. The birthday gathering was a joyful, meaningful, and successful celebration, leaving everyone with a sense of gratitude and happiness. It was a beautiful expression of community spirit, fraternity, and appreciation for the life and ministry of Rev. Fr. Isaac Mattappilil, SDB.
