Shillong, 19 July 2026: A Declamation Contest for the students of Class X was held on 19 July 2026 at the Ravallico Auditorium Hall, Savio Juniorate, Mawlai, Shillong. The event was organized to provide the students with an opportunity to develop their public speaking skills, confidence, expression, and ability to present ideas effectively before an audience.
A total of 55 students participated in the competition, making the event lively and highly competitive. Each participant presented a speech based on the stories from the Bible or different speech by the famous people or world leaders, they presented with confidence and enthusiasm, demonstrating their preparation, creativity, and oratory skills.
The competition was judged by the sisters from St. Stephen Memorial MSHSC, who carefully evaluated the participants based on their delivery, pronunciation, voice modulation, expression, confidence, and overall presentation.
After a keen and challenging competition, ten students were selected as winners for their outstanding performances. The winners were recognized for their excellent speaking skills and impressive presentations.
The Declamation Contest was a meaningful and enriching experience for all the participants. It encouraged the students to overcome stage fear, express their thoughts clearly, and grow in confidence. The event concluded successfully with appreciation for all the participants, judges, organizers, and everyone who contributed to making the competition a memorable one.
