BOSCO HOME HERMA CELEBRATES “SACRED HEART NITE

Herma, 1st July 2026: Bosco Home Herma organised the “Sacred Heart Nite” on 1st July 2026 in the community hall as the culmination of the month of June, traditionally dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The programme aimed to foster devotion to the Sacred Heart while strengthening the spirit of fraternity, joy, and community among the Pre-Novices through meaningful and entertaining activities.

The gathering commenced at 5:30 p.m. with an opening prayer led by Cl. Mark Shanbor Thyrniang, the Assistant. Following the prayer, the procedures and guidelines for the evening’s programme were announced. The participants were then warmly welcomed by Fr. Glorius Syiemlieh, the Rector of the community, who encouraged everyone to celebrate the occasion with gratitude, enthusiasm, and a spirit of unity inspired by the loving Heart of Jesus. The evening featured a variety of well-planned activities and entertainments that kept the participants actively involved throughout the programme. These included paper games, party games, group yells, an original song dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and several other interactive events that promoted teamwork, creativity, and healthy competition. The programme was attended by Fr. Glorius Syiemlieh, the Rector, the Father Issac, the Confessor, Cl. Mark Shanbor Thyrniang, the Assistant, and 22 Pre-Novices. The participants were divided into four Sodalities: Salesian Sodality, Auxiliary Sodality, Missionary Sodality, and Marian Sodality. Every Pre-Novice participated wholeheartedly in the various competitions and activities, contributing to the lively and joyful atmosphere of the celebration.

At the conclusion of the competitions, the results were announced. Salesian Sodality emerged as the overall champion, followed by Auxiliary Sodality in second place, Missionary Sodality in third place, and Marian Sodality in fourth place. The achievements of each team were warmly appreciated, reflecting the enthusiasm and collaborative spirit demonstrated throughout the evening. The programme concluded on a joyful note, leaving all the participants delighted and deeply appreciative of the meaningful celebration. The “Sacred Heart Nite” successfully combined prayer, fellowship, and recreation, making it a memorable conclusion to the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
