Shillong 25th July: On 23rd July 2023 a declamation contest was held for the class 8 boys of Savio Juniorate. The competition aimed to enhance the public speaking skills and confidence of the participants. The event was held in the Ravalico hall and the audience consisted of Fathers, Brothers, Sisters who were the Judges, Cl. 9 and 10 boys and boys from class 8. The competition began with a brief introduction by Br. James Marbaniang who is the class assistant who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of declamation in students’ lives. After that the boys of Class 8 gave their speeches one by one. The topics for the declamation contest were taken from the Bible passages. Each participant was given one minute and 50 seconds to deliver their speech and they were evaluated on their delivery, their public speaking skills and self-confidence etc. The competition was well organized and the participating boys gave their best efforts. Overall it was an enjoyable event and a great learning experience for everyone involved.
