Shillong, 20th January 2026: The Winter Camp 2026 at Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS), Shillong, concluded meaningfully with the Concluding Ceremony and Certification Programme held on 20th January 2026 at 9:00 AM. The programme began with a prayer and Bible reading led by Brother Donbok, followed by a welcome address from Fr Shiningstar Dkhar, Principal of DBTS, who appreciated the discipline, commitment, and enthusiasm of the trainees. A song presented by the brothers added joy to the occasion. The highlight of the ceremony was the inspiring message delivered by Fr Saji Stephen, Rector of the DBTS Community, who encouraged the trainees to remain focused, value-driven, and responsible in their future endeavors. The event concluded with the distribution of Certificates of Completion, marking the successful end of the Winter Camp 2026.
Throughout the camp, the trainees were provided not only with technical and vocational training in their respective trades but also with a rich Camp of holistic formation. Evening sessions addressed important themes such as livelihood skills, career guidance, current social issues, healthcare awareness, responsible use of social media, and future planning. Alongside these, strong emphasis was placed on spiritual growth, value education, recreation, and fellowship, creating a joyful and nurturing environment. The Winter Camp thus stood as a true Don Bosco experience, fostering skill development, personal growth, faith formation, and youthful joy.
