DON BOSCO HIGHER EDUCATION SOUTH ASIA HOLDS ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEET AND CONFERENCE IN GOA

18–20 November 2025, Panjim, Goa: Don Bosco Higher Education South Asia convened its Annual General Body Meeting and Conference from November 18–20, 2025, in Panjim, Goa. The event was hosted by the Salesian Province of Panjim (INP) and centered on the theme “Participatory Models of Education.”

The three-day gathering brought together leaders from Salesian Higher Education Institutions across India and Sri Lanka to exchange best practices, strengthen mission alignment, and chart collaborative strategies in teaching-learning, research, community engagement, and institutional management. Rooted in the Salesian Preventive System and inspired by the Church’s call to synodality, the conference emphasized co-responsibility, youth participation, and faith-informed quality enhancement across institutions.

The sessions were animated by Fr. George Thadathil, SDB, General Coordinator of IUS/ISHE, Rome, together with a team of expert facilitators: Dr. Glenn Shive, Mark Pixley, Shirish Sebastian, and Tomy C. Kallarakal. Their combined insights helped participants explore new pathways for participatory leadership and collaborative academic growth within the Salesian higher education network.

The conference concluded with a renewed commitment to fostering inclusive, mission-driven educational environments that respond creatively and effectively to the emerging needs of young people in South Asia.
