Celebrating Faith and Vocation: Feast of St. Joseph at Bosco Home, Herma

Herma, 19th March 2026: On the 19th of March, 2026 the community of Bosco Home, Herma, joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph in a solemn and prayerful manner. The day was marked with deep spiritual fervor, recalling the life and virtues of St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and a model of humility, obedience, and silent service.

The celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharistic celebration, which was presided over by Fr. Babu Stephan, the council member of Shillong Province. The liturgy was well-prepared, creating an atmosphere of devotion and recollection among all the participants. Through the readings and prayers, the participants were invited to reflect on the life of St. Joseph as a man of faith who trusted in God’s plan even in moments of uncertainty.

The day held special importance for the Pre-novices, as it was also designated as the day for them to submit their application forms for the Novitiate. This significant step in their vocational journey added a deeper spiritual dimension to the celebration. It symbolized their willingness to follow God’s call with courage and commitment, just as St. Joseph faithfully responded to God’s will. During the homily, Fr. Babu Stephan delivered an inspiring message, encouraging the candidates who had chosen to move forward in their vocation. He also motivated them to remain steadfast in their decision and to embrace their calling with sincerity and openness to God’s grace.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a joyful photo session, where the community gathered to capture the memorable moments of the day. It served as a reminder of unity, fraternity, and the shared joy of celebrating such an important feast together.
