Rangblang Parish Celebrates Parish Day with Prayer, Thanksgiving and Fellowship

Rangblang, 25 October 2026: Rangblang Parish celebrated its Parish Day on 25 October 2026, bringing together Fathers, Sisters, catechists, Rangbah Balangs, and a large number of faithful for a day of prayer, thanksgiving, and fraternal fellowship.

The celebration commenced at 9:30 a.m. with the singing of the Psalms, creating a prayerful atmosphere for the day’s activities. This was followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, enriched by the melodious singing and accompaniment of the choir. Fr. Edmund Lakra, SDB, presided over the Eucharistic celebration as the main celebrant, joined by Fr. Gedwin Warbah and Fr. Jeffree Kharkongor as concelebrants.

In his homily, Fr. Gedwin Warbah reflected on Jesus as the true vine and the faithful as the branches. He encouraged everyone to remain firmly united with Christ so that their lives might bear lasting fruits of faith, love, and service to others.

Following the lunch break, the faithful gathered once again for Eucharistic Adoration, led by Fr. Jeffree Kharkongor. The moment of prayer and reflection offered everyone an opportunity to deepen their communion with the Lord, express their gratitude, and seek His blessings upon the parish community.

The Adoration was followed by a short cultural programme featuring performances by members of the parish’s three sub-districts and students of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School. The various presentations highlighted the talents, creativity, and rich cultural heritage of the community, adding joy and colour to the celebration.

The day’s programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the celebration. A priestly blessing was then imparted, invoking God’s guidance and protection upon all as they returned to their homes.

The Parish Day celebration was a meaningful occasion that strengthened the bonds of faith, unity, and fellowship among the faithful of Rangblang Parish, renewing their commitment to remain united with Christ and to serve one another in love.
