Herma, 8th August 2026: A Self-Composed Welcome Song Singing Competition was organised for the Pre-Novices of Bosco Home Herma on 8th August 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The programme was organised with the aim of providing the Pre-Novices an opportunity to discover and express their creative talents, particularly in the areas of songwriting, music and confidence.
The event proved to be a joyful and enriching experience for all the participants. The Pre-Novices were given the opportunity to compose their own welcome songs. However, for some of the Pre-Novices, composing a song was a new and challenging experience. It was perhaps the first time they had attempted to put their own thoughts, ideas and emotions into a song. Despite the challenges, they took the opportunity seriously and made commendable efforts to create meaningful and melodious compositions. Their participation showed that every person possesses gifts and talents that can grow when given the right encouragement and opportunity. The competition also contributed to the personal growth and confidence of the Pre-Novices. It encouraged them to think creatively, express themselves freely and overcome hesitation. More than simply being a competition, the event became a platform for discovering hidden talents and nurturing the gifts entrusted to each individual. The atmosphere throughout the programme was lively, encouraging and filled with joy. The participants supported one another and appreciated the efforts of their fellow Pre-Novices. The event successfully brought together creativity, music, fellowship and learning in a meaningful way.
In conclusion, the Self-Composed Welcome Song Singing Competition was a successful and memorable event. It provided the Pre-Novices with a valuable opportunity to discover their creative potential and grow in confidence.
