WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY 2026 CELEBRATION AT DBTS, SHILLONG

Shillong, 15 July 2026: Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong celebrated World Youth Skills Day 2026 on 15th July 2026 at the AV Hall under the global theme, “Skills for a Shared Future.” The programme aimed to recognize the importance of technical and vocational education in empowering young people for employment, innovation, and nation-building.

The programme began with an Introduction and Presentation by brother Sniawshngain Papang, Vice Principal, followed by an inspiring address by Father. Shiningstar Dkhar, Principal, who encouraged students to pursue excellence through skill, discipline, and lifelong learning. The DB Tech Society students enriched the celebration with a melodious group song.

A special highlight was the testimony of Mr. John Paul, a participant in the National India Skills Competition, who shared his inspiring journey and motivated students to aim higher in their respective trades. Miss Rheodolcy then delivered a meaningful speech on the theme, emphasizing the role of skills in creating a sustainable and inclusive future.

The celebration concluded with an engaging quiz competition and a poster Competition & exhibition, where students showcased their knowledge, creativity, and commitment to skill development. The event served as a reminder that empowering youth with the right skills is essential for building a brighter future for all.
