A New Chapter for Bishramganj Parish: Installation of Fr. Christopher Warlarpih

Bishramganj, 28th June 2026: On 28th June 2026, the community of Bosco Home, Herma had the privilege of attending the installation ceremony of the new Parish Priest, Fr. Christopher Warlarpih, at Bishramganj Parish Church. The occasion was a joyful celebration that marked the beginning of a new chapter in the pastoral life of the parish.

 

The Pre-Novices departed from Bosco Home Herma at 9:00 a.m. and arrived at the parish church by 9:30 a.m. They joined the parish community and numerous faithful in preparing for the solemn Eucharistic celebration, which commenced at 10:00 a.m. The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Bosco, the representative of the Bishop of the Diocese of Agartala, who officially installed Fr. Christopher Warlarpih as the new Parish Priest. The liturgy was prayerful and inspiring, highlighting the noble mission and responsibility entrusted to a parish priest in shepherding God’s people. Following the Eucharistic celebration, a vibrant felicitation programme was held in the parish hall to honour the newly installed Parish Priest. Various villages under Bishramganj Parish expressed their heartfelt congratulations through colourful cultural performances, songs, and dances, reflecting the rich traditions and unity of the parish community. The Pre-Novices of Bosco Home, Herma also offered a melodious choir presentation as a gesture of gratitude, love, and best wishes for Fr. Christopher as he began his new pastoral ministry.

 

The celebrations concluded with a fellowship meal, where lunch was served to all the faithful and guests who had gathered for this joyous occasion. The shared meal further strengthened the bonds of communion among the clergy, religious, and parishioners. The installation ceremony was truly an exceptional and grace-filled event. It inspired all those present to renew their commitment to serve the Church faithfully while assuring Fr. Christopher Warlarpih of their prayers and wholehearted support as he embarks on his ministry as the shepherd of Bishramganj Parish.
