Silchar 29 Jan, 26: Don Bosco School, Silchar, Junior Section (Nursery to Class IV) joyfully celebrated the Feast of Don Bosco cum Parents’ Day on 29 January 2026 with the meaningful theme “Strength in Diversity and Pride in Unity.” The programme beautifully highlighted India’s cultural richness through colourful dances representing the North, South, East, West, and the heartland of the country. The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. John Zosiama, Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Shillong Province, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he urged the school management, teaching staff, parents, and non-teaching staff to maintain strong rapport and teamwork to nurture the holistic growth of every student. Shri Mahir Uddin Laskar, Retired District and Sessions Judge, attended as the Guest of Honour, adding grace and dignity to the celebration. The audience was delighted by the adorable performances of the young children, who confidently presented dances, a skit, and a fashion show with the guidance of teachers and the support of parents. The programme received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students, making the celebration a memorable and joyful occasion.
