Herma, 16 November 2025: The Mono Act Competition for the Pre-novices of Bosco Home Herma was held on 16 November 2025 in the community hall, drawing an enthusiastic audience and showcasing the expressive talents of the young participants. The event commenced at 5:39 p.m. and concluded at 7:15 p.m., offering an evening of creativity, inspiration, and lively performance.
The objective of the competition was to build courage, confidence, and stage presence among the Pre-novices through solo acting and dialogue delivery. Hostellers from Don Bosco School, Herma, were also present, adding to the supportive and vibrant atmosphere.
The program opened with an introduction by Pre-novice Benedict Kharkongor, who warmly welcomed the gathering and set an engaging tone for the event. He was followed by Br. Mark Shanbor Thyrniang, who outlined the four judging criteria: confidence, creativity, dialogue, and acting—guidelines that would shape the evaluation of each performance.
Performers took to the stage in alphabetical order, presenting acts that reflected originality, expressive ability, and a strong sense of character. Their performances captivated the audience, filling the hall with laughter, appreciation, and moments of heartfelt emotion.
The competition was adjudicated by Fr. Glorious Syiemlieh, Rector, and Fr. Suman Kiro, Vice-Rector of the community. Their presence and feedback provided encouragement and added prestige to the program.
Following the performances, Fr. Santreki Muliar, Counselor and Administrator, addressed the gathering with congratulatory remarks. He commended the participants for their spirited presentations and acknowledged the effort and discipline evident in each act.
The event concluded with the singing of a hymn in honor of Don Bosco, bringing the evening to a dignified and graceful close. The Mono Act Competition proved to be a memorable occasion, successfully promoting confidence, creativity, and communal spirit among the young Pre-novices of Bosco Home Herma.
