Silchar, November 15th 2025: Don Bosco School, Silchar, successfully organized a three-day Inter-School Tournament Titled Saint Zatti Inter-School Tournament 2025 on the 12th, 13th, and 15th of November, 2025. The tournament was held in honour of Saint Artemides Zatti, commemorating his Feast Day on the 13th of November. The grand inauguration ceremony took place on 12th November 2025 at 9:30 AM in the school premises. The event was graced by Shree Shibabrata Dutta, President of the District Sports Association of Silchar, as the Chief Guest, and Shree Mrinal Kanti Roy, FIFA Assistant Referee, as the Guest of Honour. A total of 21 schools from in and around Silchar participated enthusiastically in the tournament. The competitions were held in three major sports disciplines—Football, Volleyball, and Kabaddi. The event witnessed great sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among the participating schools. In his address, Chief Guest Shree Shibabrata Dutta emphasized the importance of education not only within the classroom but also through physical education, highlighting how sports contribute to the overall development of students. He expressed his appreciation to Don Bosco School, Silchar for organizing such an event that supports the district’s sports initiatives. The Guest of Honour, Shree Mrinal Kanti Roy, spoke on the significance of living a disciplined life, citing examples of renowned personalities who achieved success through dedication and hard work in the field of sports. The Saint Zatti Inter-School Tournament 2025 was a resounding success and received high appreciation from all attendees—students, teachers, and guests alike. The event not only promoted sports and physical education but also strengthened the bond among schools in the region.
