Pathaliaghat 3rd November 2025: The Third Don Bosco Knockout Football Tournament was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on 3rd November 2025 at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. The event, held at the Don Bosco Mini Stadium, witnessed the presence of students, staff, parents, and guests.
Shri. Bikash Debbarma, Minister for Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Sericulture and Statistics, Government of Tripura, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, along with other dignitaries including Mr. Nandu Debbarma, Fr. K.K. Joseph, and Fr. Glorius Syiemlieh.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome by the school band, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and hoisting of the tournament flag. In his address, the Chief Guest lauded the school’s efforts in promoting sports and encouraged players to display teamwork and discipline.
A colourful cultural performance by the students added vibrancy to the event. The opening match between Valore FC and Longtrai FC marked the start of the tournament, with dignitaries greeting the players before kick-off.
The event concluded amid excitement and applause, symbolizing sportsmanship, unity, and youthful energy. The inauguration was a memorable and grand success, thanks to the collective efforts of the school community.
