DBTS Shillong, 1st November 2025: The Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) Hostel, Shillong, celebrated its annual Community Day on November 1, 2025, with the inspiring theme “One Heart, One Spirit, One Community.” The celebration marked the grand conclusion of two enriching weeks of community activities that included a wide range of indoor and outdoor games, along with various competitions among the hostellers. The Community Weeks fostered teamwork, camaraderie, and the joyful Salesian family spirit among all participants.
The final day’s celebration began with a solemn Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m., presided over by Fr. Donbor, the Manager. The homily was delivered by Fr. Saji, the Rector, who reflected on the theme, emphasizing unity, love, and the call to live as one family under the guidance of Don Bosco. The Mass was attended by all the fathers, Brothers, hostellers, and community members, creating a deeply spiritual and festive atmosphere.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the hostellers and Salesian community gathered for a lively family get-together. The program showcased the richness of talents through dancing, singing, and short performances that celebrated diversity in unity. A highlight of the evening was the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners of various games and competitions were felicitated. The much-awaited announcement of the Champion Trophy of the DBTS Community Weeks 2025 added excitement and jubilation to the moment.
The event concluded with a fraternal meal and a joyful jam session for the hostellers, strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. The entire celebration beautifully embodied the theme “One Heart, One Spirit, One Community,” leaving everyone united in gratitude, joy, and harmony.
