DON BOSCO MEDIA CONCLUDES KA SUR KYNUD NIAM SEASON I


Shillong, July 7: Ka Sur Kynud Niam season I, a platform for singing Religious songs and Melodies initiated by the Don Bosco Media Network, finally culminated on the 7th of July 2023 with the Grand Finale. The program commenced at 5:00pm at Cilia Memorial Hall in the presence of the parents and well wishers of the participants. Of the many participants competed for this competition only 13 participants were selected as Finalists. Finally, Elari Kharkongor begged the first position and the winner of Ka Sur Kynud Niam season 1. Fr. Paul Olphindro, the Provincial and Fr. Richard, the Vicar General of Shillong Archdiocese, were the guests for the day and later joined by ArchBishop Victor Lyngdoh. The hall was packed by a big group of audience. The Program was streamed live at DBMN TV YouTube channel and also broadcasted in the LOCAL CABLE TV for those audience watching it online. Also, there were a good number of media personnel from various media houses to cover this event. Speaking on this auspicious occasions, both the guests, Frs. Provincial and the Vicar General congratulated all the participants for their talents and hardwork in reaching up till this stage. Also, a Special thanking was given to the Don Bosco Media Network and to all the Team under the leadership of Fr. Michael Makri for the fantastic initiative taken to uplift the skills and talents of the young to praise and thank God through Songs. Both the Guests Frs. Provincial and the Vicar General sang praise of the melodious voices from these singers saying: “These songs have made us as if we are singing and praying God and not as a competition.” At the end of the competition, there was a special Youth Icon sponsored by Don Bosco Media to Mrs. Wanri Pyngrope, a beacon of inspiration for the youth of Meghalaya. To add more gaiety to it, the Don Bosco Media was honored to unbox the YouTube silver button of having completed I lakh subscribers and Fr. Vicar, took the honor of presenting it to Fr. Provincial. Then there was the distributions of certificates to all the participants and the declaration of the sur Kynud winners. Finally Fr. Makri proposed the vote of thanks, expressing his gesture of thanks to all the participants, the parent and audience present there. Thus, it was followed by a photo session and tea being served for all at the square.
