DON BOSCO TECH PYNDENGLAWAR HOSTED PAST PUPILS DAY
Nongstoin 25th June: The Past Pupils of Savio Juniorate from the West Khasi Hills assembled together at Don Bosco Tech Nongstoin for the occasion of the Past Pupils Day on the 24th June, 2023. The feast day programme was prepared by the Past Pupils of the West Khasi Hills Region under the leadership of Sir. Josephas Thongni and Damian Jyrwa. There were 35 Past Pupils who took part in this celebration which began with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Sebastian Tyrkey sdb. In the sermon, Father Sebastian said that like Don Bosco they too should keep God in the center of their lives and imbibe in them the values of love, kindness, faith, forgiveness and peace. The Celebrant described the signs of the time that they are familiar with. He encouraged the Past Pupils to carry out the mission enthusiastically for the sake of God. After the Holy Mass and lunch break, an animation and ice-breaking session led by Br. Lumlang Marbaniang sdb followed. During the animation, Brother explained about the role and charisma of the Past Pupils and thus imparted knowledge about revealing the values of life led by St. John Bosco. In the animation session, Brother Lumlang led the group into self-introduction and a sharing experience about the past life in Savio Juniorate. The animation session ended with few party games and planting of 200 trees in and around the campus of Don Bosco Tech Nongstoin.
Towards 5'o clock in the evening, the Past Pupils once again gathered together inside the hall for the Rock Night. The hostellers and the Don Bosco Tech Nongstoin community too joined the evening program. The musical program was celebrated with great joy and fervor, various groups performed their songs and dances. At the closed of the day, all the Past Pupils lauded the earnest contribution of various persons for the success of the feast day.
