23 October 2023 Shillong: On the 23rd October, 2023 the Novitiate Community organized a Marian Seminar. The Seminar was presented by the Novices themselves on various themes. The main themes of the seminar were as follows: Mary in the scriptures, The Church Magisterium, the apparitions of Mary, the Memorials and optional Memoria and the Dogmas and the solemnities of Mary. The event was convened at nine o’clock in the morning. The seminar was participated by Fr. V.T Jose (the Novice Master), Fr. Pyndeilang Khongkhlad (the Administrator), Fr. Prabir Minj (the Socius), Br. Lambert (the Assistant) and the thirty Novices. The event began with Welcome Speech by the Assistant and it was followed by the prayer dance. The novices were encouraged by the message of the Socius before they began their presentation. Each sodality was given an hour to present their topics. After the presentation, there was a question hour where the participants can raise their questions to the group or to the individuals. The one - day seminar ended at 6: 30 pm. At the end, the Novices Master gave a word of appreciation. He thanked the confreres for helping the Novices to prepare the seminar. He also congratulated the Novices for their wonderful presentation. He then gave some tips for future improvement. He further advised the community to have greater devotion to the blessed Mother having known her better though the seminar. He enlightened that the Blessed Virgin Mary is not an abstract person but a real person. Therefore, it is not enough that we have knowledge about her, we must develop a filial relationship with Mary.
