29th September 2024, Nongpoh: The Annual Spiritual Retreat for the youth of Assumption Church, Nongpoh Parish, took place from September 28-29, 2024, offering a profound opportunity for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth. Kicking off the event, Fr. Sawlus Kharpran, the youth director, opened with a prayer and blessing, followed by a welcoming address from youth president Shanding Ronghang. Renowned preacher Fr. Devasia Vazhayil led the retreat, sharing insights rooted in scripture and personal experiences with young people. His talks highlighted the significance of faith amidst life’s challenges, resonating deeply with participants. The first day featured a powerful confession session, allowing eight priests to minister the sacrament, fostering a sense of spiritual renewal. On the second day, Fr. Devasia focused on healing through faith and prayer, culminating in a transformative healing session. The retreat concluded with a solemn Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Sawlus, uniting the youth in a shared experience of community and worship.
