28th November 2023, Herma, Tripura: On the Morning of November 28, 2023, the Bishop of the diocese of Agartala, Most Rev Lumen Monteiro CSC, paid a visit to the Pre-novitiate at Bosco Home Herma and offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the community. It was a blessing indeed to have him in our Community and to express the feeling of oneness with the diocese and its Shepherd. During the sermon, the Bishop insisted Pre-Novices not to worry so much about the external appearance rather to think about and worry about the soul or the inner appearance. Quoting A.P.J Abdul Kalam, he urged the Pre-Novices to have a dream, a dream to reach the goal, a dream that is different from other dreams that we have during the night. He also emphasized on the importance of obedience and discipline and that these should be followed out of love. He concluded his reflection by encouraging the Pre-Novices saying “Don’t give up but stay in, don’t give up but stay in, don’t give up but stay in”. After the Holy Mass, there was a short felicitation for his Lordship with a welcome song, a melodious choir piece and the words of appreciation and gratitude expressed by Pyndapbiang Pdang, one of the Pre-novices. We thank his Lordship for visit the Pre-Novitiate and we promised him that he will be remembered in our daily prayers.
