11th September 2024, Shillong: On the 11th of September, Sunnyside marked Missionary Day with a memorable evening event. At 5:30 pm, 29 missionaries from the Provincial House, led by Fr. Sunny, visited the community. The program commenced in the AV hall, anchored by Novice Francis Hauhnar Lalremruata. Novice Ambruse’s welcome song and a vibrant choir performance, including the song "Keep on the Sunnyside," added energy to the event. Fr. Paul, the rector, and novice Master extended a warm welcome, while Fr. Sunny delivered an inspiring message on the missionary course’s purpose. The evening included an interactive session, where missionaries shared moving testimonies about their work's impact and challenges. The Missionary Sodality led a meditative prayer service with the theme “Dare and Hope” in honour of Fr. Louis Matthias. The night concluded with a group photo, Hail Mary prayers, and a hearty dinner. The event concluded at 9:00 pm, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
