ST. ANTHONY’S L. P. OUTREACH PROGRAM

16th May 2024, St. Anthony’s LP School: On 16th May 2024, eight students from Class V of St. Anthony’s LP School, accompanied by two teachers, three support staff, three DBTS hostellers, and the headmaster Fr Raphael Tham, departed from school at 10:10 AM to visit Civil Hospital Shillong. The visit was made possible by the generosity of the Class V students, who brought extra tiffin to share with those in need. Additionally, the school provided fifty lunch packages. Upon arriving at the hospital, the team contacted the authorities and was assigned five wards for the distribution of the free lunch packets. The students efficiently mobilized and completed the distribution within an hour. The joy on the students' faces was evident as they participated in this act of kindness. During the visit, the headmaster was introduced to the Joint Superintendent of the Hospital. The headmaster emphasized the importance of exposing students to real-life situations where they can make a positive impact on those in need. The experience was invaluable, offering much more than just aid to the recipients—it left a lasting impact on the students, teaching them the significance of compassion and community service.
