Shillong 26th June: In keeping with the month of June dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as a community of Savio Juniorate Mawlai went for a pilgrimage to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Shrine, Mawlai on 23rd June 2023. The pilgrimage begun with a prayer in front of the house, after which the apostolic boys proceeded as pilgrims to the Shrine. On reaching the shrine, the community took part in the Holy Eucharist to give Thanks to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the blessings bestowed upon the community, and also praying for the grace to have a heart like Christ a heart which is full of love, compassion, faithfulness and mercy towards others. Fr. Rector was the presider of the Holy Eucharist along with Fr. Gomes, Fr. Michael, Fr. John concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. After the Holy Eucharist, a short prayer in front of the tomb of Fr. Vendrame was held. All the apostolic boys of Classes 8, 9 and 10 together with the Brothers took an active part in the pilgrimage. It was indeed a moment of grace and blessings for the community.
