7th November 2024, Shillong: On November 7, 2024, the Staff of Rilang Children's Home together with the staff of BIDS attended the training session on Homelink DIGI software at the BIDS Hall organized by Homelink DIGI, Guwahati Hub. The event aimed to enhance the data management skills of staff members. The program commenced with a warm welcome by Fr. Shemphang Dkhar, Superintendent of Rilang Children's Home. Fr. James, Executive Director of BIDS and Rilang, then delivered an inaugural speech, highlighting the significance of technology in social work. Mr. Berinder Baxa, Guwahati Hub Coordinator, took centre stage as the resource person. With his expertise, he extensively trained the staff on the purpose, features, and applications of Homelink software. The participants were engaged throughout the session, asking questions and seeking clarification. The hands-on training session proved particularly beneficial, allowing staff to practically apply their newfound knowledge. Mr. Baxa patiently guided them through the software's various modules, ensuring a comprehensive understanding. At the end of the training, the Director signed the agreement with the Homelink DIGI Representative and with that Rilang Children’s Home is a partner with Homelink DIGI. As the training concluded, Fr. Shemphang Dkhar expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Baxa participants, and organizers for making the event a resounding success. The staff left with enhanced skills and a renewed commitment to efficient data management. The Homelink DIGI training marked a significant step forward in Rilang Children's Home's quest for technological integration and excellence.
