RILANG CHILDREN’S HOME TAKES STEPS TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY


Shillong, July 13, 2024 - The Rilang Children's Home on the 13th of July hosted an informative session on waste management and organic composting, marking a significant step towards environmental consciousness. Kong Bibisha Kharnaior, the President of the Iainehskhem Self Help Group led the awareness program, imparting valuable knowledge on effective waste management techniques and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. The highlight of the event was a hands-on training session where the children learned the art of making organic compost from kitchen waste and other biodegradable materials. This skill will enable them to contribute to the home's sustainability efforts and promote eco-friendly practices.
